Weekly What's New in ClientBranch: October 26, 2026
You can now see when a client first opens your invoice, and your booking pages keep out made up names and emails. Plus roomier reply boxes, better contact records and new Rentals tools.
This week brings a set of changes that make your daily work smoother. You can now see when a client first opens your invoice, your booking pages keep out made up details, your contact records show more of what you sent and received, and the reply boxes in Conversations give your words room to breathe. Rentals hosts get a new Promotions tab and a couple of handy controls too. Here is everything that is new.
Invoices
See when a client first opened your invoice
Sending an invoice and hearing nothing back is one of the most uncomfortable parts of running a service business. Did they see it? Did it land in spam? Should you follow up today or give them another day? ClientBranch now answers the first question for you.
When a client opens your invoice for the first time, ClientBranch records it. In your Invoices list, an unpaid invoice now shows as viewed along with the date, shown in your business time zone. Open the invoice itself and you will see the exact time it was first viewed. Your own signed in previews and link preview bots are not counted, so a view means the client opened it.
This helps you pick the right next step. If an invoice has been viewed but not paid, a friendly reminder makes sense. If it has not been opened at all, you may want to check the email address or send it again. Either way, you stop guessing.
Booking
Cleaner bookings with real contact details
Fake bookings waste your time and clutter your calendar. Booking pages now block made up names and emails, the kind of thing people type when they are just clicking around, such as abc def or abcdef@gmail.com. Email addresses at dead mail domains are blocked too.
There is also a change for anyone who offers phone call appointments. Phone call calendars now require the booker's phone number, and this is checked on the server as well as on the page. If you have set up a calendar for calls, you will always have a number to dial when the time comes.
You do not need to change any settings. Your existing booking pages simply start keeping out the junk, so the bookings that reach you are from people you can reach.
Contacts
Sent emails and form answers right on the contact
A contact record is most useful when it tells the whole story without sending you hunting through other screens. Two changes help with that this week.
First, Sent cards in a contact's activity now have a View email option, so you can see exactly what you sent that person. Second, View submission now shows the form answers right there in the timeline, so you can read what a client told you on your intake or enquiry form without leaving their record.
Form answers also now appear in the same order as the questions on your form, in both the Submissions panel and the contact timeline. Before this change, a longer form could show its answers out of order. Now they read the way you wrote the questions, which matters when one answer only makes sense after the one before it.
Conversations
Reply boxes that grow with your message
Writing a thoughtful reply in a tiny box is frustrating. The text reply box in Conversations now grows with your message instead of staying a fixed three line window. The email reply box can grow to 45% of the screen before it starts to scroll, so you can see most of a longer email while you write it.
Pasting is smoother too. When you paste into the text box, it keeps your place instead of jumping. If you keep a few saved paragraphs you paste in often, such as directions to your office or what to bring to a first session, you will notice the difference straight away.
No more double greetings in your emails
ClientBranch adds a friendly Hi first name greeting to your emails automatically. The trouble was you could not see it while writing, so if you typed your own greeting, the email went out with two. The composer now shows the automatic greeting above your message, so what you see is what your client gets.
Even better, if your message already opens with Hi, Hello, Dear or something similar, ClientBranch leaves the automatic greeting off. Write the way you normally do and your emails will read naturally.
On your phone
Easier to work from your phone
Many solo business owners answer messages between appointments, and that usually means a phone. On phones, Conversations now shows either your conversation list or the open thread or new message at full width, with a back button to move between them. No more squinting at two cramped columns.
The same thinking now applies across more of ClientBranch. The form builder, chat widget, landing page, website and blog editors and the company record now stack their panels on phones instead of squeezing them side by side. Quick edits away from your desk are now much more comfortable.
Rentals
A new Promotions tab
Filling quiet dates is one of the best ways to lift your rental income. Rentals now has a Promotions tab where you can set a percentage off for a date window along with its post. When a promotion works and you want to repeat it, you can run it again instead of setting it up from scratch.
Listed or Unlisted at a glance
Each property now shows a Listed or Unlisted badge. Click the badge to flip it. Taking a property off the market for repairs or a family stay, then bringing it back, now takes a single click, and you can see the status of every property at a glance.
Know the moment a clean is done
Turnovers run on timing. When a cleaner marks a clean done, you now get a text and an alert inside ClientBranch. You know the property is ready for your next guest without messaging anyone to check.
Landing pages
Turn off the chat widget on copied pages
The chat widget is great for most pages, but on a single purpose sales funnel it can pull attention away from the one thing you want visitors to do. Copied pages can now opt out of the chat widget. Add this tag to the page code and the chat button will not appear:
<meta name="cb-chat" content="off">
Use it on order pages and focused offers, and keep the widget on the pages where conversations bring you new clients.
