ClientBranch, operated by National Entertainment Group, is a software platform that lets businesses communicate with their own customers. This policy explains how text messages (SMS) are sent through ClientBranch, how recipients consent, and how they can opt out.
Program description
Businesses that use ClientBranch send text messages to their own customers and contacts. These are primarily transactional, account, and appointment-related messages, such as:
Booking and appointment confirmations
Appointment reminders
Reschedule, cancellation, and follow-up notices
Replies within a two-way conversation initiated or consented to by the customer
Where the customer has separately opted in, occasional offers or updates from that business
Consent and opt-in
Customers opt in to receive SMS from a business through that business's ClientBranch forms, booking pages, or other points of collection, where they affirmatively agree to receive text messages. A typical consent statement reads:
"I agree to receive SMS messages (appointment updates and offers) from [Business Name]. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help."
Consent is recorded against each contact, and ClientBranch enforces per-channel consent and Do Not Disturb settings on every message. Businesses using ClientBranch are contractually required to obtain valid consent before sending and to comply with all applicable laws and carrier requirements (including the TCPA and CTIA guidelines).
Opt-out and help
Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. They will receive a confirmation and no further messages, unless they opt in again.
Message frequency varies depending on your interactions with a business (for example, the number of bookings you make). Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. ClientBranch and the business do not charge you for receiving messages.
Your mobile information is protected. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors that support the service (such as our messaging provider, Twilio) is permitted solely to deliver the messages requested. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties for any other purpose.
Phone numbers and carrier registration (for businesses)
Businesses send SMS using a phone number provisioned through ClientBranch (via our messaging provider, Twilio). The number, the messages you send, and any required carrier registration are billed through ClientBranch as metered usage, at a small markup over carrier cost to cover those fees, there are no surprise overage bills.
For United States and Canada numbers, A2P 10DLC registration (or toll-free verification) is mandatory under carrier and regulatory requirements before any messages can be sent. This is set by the carriers and regulators, not by ClientBranch. We handle the registration on your behalf, and the associated one-time and ongoing carrier fees are included in your usage billing.
Privacy
Our handling of personal and mobile information is described in our Privacy Policy. Use of the platform is also governed by our Terms of Service.
